This is a great thread! I'm hoping to get answers as I look into making my own shadows and pigments. My questions are mostly regarding...what can I add to, say, micas such as TKB to make them have more slip and adhesion in regards to a binding ingredient, while retaining most of the mica's brilliant colors? Same with stability so that the product lasts a long time?

General Discussion / raveling with perfume
« on: May 23, 2018, 06:31:24 pm »
It's been a while since I've traveled with perfume. I normally only take along a few sample sizes when I fly. But this time I would like to take a bottle to my mother. Has anyone had any problems flying with a whole bottle of perfume. I don't want to end up "gifting" something precious please  ;D

Makeup Beauty Skincare / Re: Your daily skin care routine?
« on: May 21, 2018, 07:51:42 pm »
So, I just started Obagi ZO Skin Health and here's my protocol - this has been doing wonders for me of late:

Morning routine with all products from the ZO Skin line:

CLEANSE: Oilacleanse

EXFOLIATE: Exfoliating Polish

TONE: Balatone

SOOTHE: Daily Power Defence

PROTECT: Sunscreen with Primer SPF 30

Night routine:

CLEANSE: Oilacleanse

TONE: Balatone

SOOTHE: Daily Power Defence

TREAT WITH ACTIVES: Retamax + Melamix

No irritation or redness so far.. fingers crossed!

Woops I forgot, I also use Clinique's makeup remover to get rid of eye makeup..

Makeup Beauty Skincare / Re: Frizzy Hair Recommendations

I found this article about beating frizzy hair => https://goo.gl/LGSYcZ

it might be helpful! Honestly, I haven't had good luck with the John Frieda products and I know many other curlies haven't either. There are a million better curly products on the market, with better ingredients that don't further damage the hair.

General Discussion / Re: Do you update your love/like/dislike list?
« on: May 20, 2018, 10:15:03 pm »
first of all WELCOME @Cathy  :) :) :)

I do updates when I think of it, but not in a concerted, organized way. Like if I wear a perfume and think "Ugh I really don't like this anymore" I will go click dislike. Or if I used to love something but am going to swap it now, I go click like. My loves list is almost always updated but the likes could be anything from "this is great but just not me" to "I just barely don't dislike this."

what are your favorite light/suitable for warm weather fragrances that can be found for under $40?

Completely thought the same thing.....I've use other sponges and I thought it was the same, but wanted to see if there was a more legitimate reason it was so expensive. I think they were just able to market and get influencers early in the game.

Makeup Beauty Skincare / Beauty Blender: over hyped/ over priced?
« on: May 19, 2018, 06:49:13 pm »
Hi all

I wanted to hear other's opinion on the beauty blender vs other sponges. My main question is: is the beauty blender superior to sponges of other companies out there? Price wise it is definitely much higher at $20 or so while other sponges come in at around $5. If you use sponges are you partial to beauty blenders or do you think it is over priced/over hyped?

I'll be waiting for your parcel @aminovich  :D :D :D
